Altea is without doubt one of the most charming towns of the Costa Blanca. It's old town is packed full of character and the impressive church Nuestra Senora del Consuelo with its blue and white tiled dome roof has to be one of the most photographed landmarks of the area.
The N332 splits the town in half. On one side are the pebbly beaches such as Platja de l’Olla and Platja de la Roda where you can enjoy the sea with food and drinks at one of the several authentic “chiringuitas” (beach bars), while closer to the centre you will find the long promenade with its many restaurants and boutiques and the marina. On the other side of the N332 you will find the old town with its charming streets that wind up to the church and plaza at the top of the hill. From here you will find magnificent views of the mountains and the sea.
