Chiringuito season has begun! And what better way to welcome spring then by sharing a large paella on the beach with friends. This homemade one we enjoyed at Sant, a small family restaurant tucked away at La Olla beach in Altea, at walking distance from some of our rentals. The food here is delicious and the location priceless at just a few meters from the sea. Enjoying life the Spaniard's way. Now, if only Sunday afternoons could last all week... 

Almond blossom season is here! And if there is a best time to visit the Jalon Valley this is it! Situated inland in the Costa Blanca North, this valley is strikingly beautiful anytime of the year and a true respite from the coastal bustle, but during the almond blossom season it is simply breathtaking. Blooming starts in late January and lasts until the last week of February. Don't forget to check out the festival "Alcalalí en flor" till the 26th of February.
